The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) www.uhd.edu/northwest • 713-237-5400 For four decades, the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) has helped Houstonians advance their careers with bachelor’s and master’s degrees and professional certifications. UHD also grows professionals through a number of extracurricular initiatives aimed at delivering real-world lessons.

Located along Buffalo Bayou in the heart of the city’s business district, UHD serves more than 14,000 students from all walks of life. It is Houston’s second largest university and offers 44 undergraduate degrees and eight graduate degrees. UHD is also home to one of the city’s top Master of Business Administration programs.

Students select UHD because of its accessibility, affordability and quality. In addition to learning in the classroom, students venture into Houston itself to contribute their talents to community engagement projects. Such initiatives are not only educational for students but touch the lives of Houstonians.

Faculty at UHD include noted scholars, artists and award-winning authors and poets, all of whom work closely with students and serve as mentors. Among UHD’s 44,000 alums are esteemed civic and business leaders, who help elevate the city’s role in the national and global economies.

UHD’s footprint in the greater Houston area has expanded outside of downtown. Students living or working in the city’s northwest region can earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees at UHD Northwest, located at Highway 249 and Louetta at Lone Star College-University Park. This northwest Harris County location is convenient to nearby residents and those who work and live in western Montgomery and Waller counties. UHD Northwest offers 19 undergraduate and four graduate programs across four academic colleges, including College of Public Service, College of Business, College of Humanities and College of Sciences and Technology. Instruction is delivered in the classroom, online or using a hybrid of both.

UHD Northwest also offers four graduate certificates for career advancement: finance, human resource management, leadership and supply chain management. Students who perform well in one of the graduate certificate concentrations are eligible for admission into the UHD MBA program— no GMAT required.
