 If you travel on I-10 and Barker Cypress through the Energy Corridor, you may notice that flamingos have landed at Houston Methodist West Hospital. In honor of breast cancer awareness month, flamingos will cover the green areas of the hospital grounds and pink lights will shine at night during the month of October.

Two Houston Methodist hospitals received the highest honors today from Vizient (formerly UHC), an alliance of the nation’s leading academic medical centers.

Both Houston Methodist Hospital and Houston Methodist West Hospital were honored with the 2016 Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Award given to hospitals and academic medical centers that have demonstrated superior performance as measured by Vizient’s Quality and Accountability Study, conducted annually since 2005.

Houston Methodist West makes scheduling an imaging appoint easy with online scheduling

HOUSTON, TX—(Feb. 4, 2014)—As more and more the world goes digital, Houston Methodist West Hospital is committed to staying at the forefront. This week, the hospital unveiled a new, user-friendly online scheduling tool for patients.

The new system makes it possible for patients to view available appointments, select one that fits their schedule and confirm their appointment with just a few clicks. The system currently schedules outpatient imaging exams, including mammogram, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound and more.

Willow Fork Country Club Women’s Groups donate $21,000 to Houston Methodist West Hospital’s Breast Care Center

HOUSTON, TX—(Jan. 29, 2014)—Through their annual breast cancer awareness fundraiser, Pretty in Pink, the Willow Fork Country Club Women’s Groups raised $21,000 last October, which they donated to Houston Methodist West Hospital’s Breast Care Center.  The symbolic check was awarded to hospital executives and physicians in a recognition ceremony Jan. 21.
