Sienna Plantation Debuts First-Ever Townhomes

Perry Homes has debuted luxury townhomes in Sienna Plantation – a first for the popular Fort Bend development.

Construction on the two-story townhomes, located near the Sienna Plantation Golf Club in The Enclave at Water’s Edge, has begun with four of the 36 available homes already sold.

This is the first time Perry has offered townhomes in Sienna, where it has been building for the past 18 years.

Rediscover Treasures April 2 at Sienna Plantation Garage Sale

Sienna Plantation residents are doing a little spring cleaning, and treasure hunters will benefit at the community’s Rediscover Treasures Garage Sale 7-10 a.m. Saturday, April 2.

Gently-used clothing, books, household items and more will be on display in the parking lot of Club Sienna, 9600 Scanlan Trace. More than 90 vendors are expected to participate.

Sienna Plantation Announces Top Realtors, Offices

Realty office RE/MAX Fine Properties in Sugar Land and Realtor Shijimon Jacob with Everest Realty were named the top-selling realty office and Realtor for Sienna Plantation, a master-planned community in Fort Bend County.

Kunal Seth with RE/MAX Fine Properties earned the No. 2 spot for 2015 sales and Linda Riddle, also with RE/MAX Fine Properties, ranked No. 3. Other top-selling realty offices were Everest Realty, No. 2, and Champions Real Estate Group, which had the third highest cumulative sales last year.

FBISD Elementary Principal of the Year Shares Success Roadmap

An education-minded mother, influential teachers and a drive to make a difference has taken Heritage Rose Elementary School Principal Lavanta Williams on a far different path than many of his neighborhood counterparts, all the way to Elementary School Principal of the Year for the Fort Bend Independent School District.

Williams was raised by a single mother in an area in Ponchatoula, La., that he quietly describes as “challenging.”

“We all believed that no one in this area would ever make it out of here,” he said.

But his mother, Ethel Williams, had other plans.

Sienna HOAs Win Community of the Year Award

Sienna Plantation Associations took home three awards in the Community Associations Institute Greater Houston Chapter’s inaugural awards gala, including Community of the Year.

The Community of the Year award is given to the community association that exhibits excellence in management, governance, finance and lifestyle. The Sienna associations won in the 3,000-plus units category.

Sienna Hosts CASA Wreath Raffle

Area residents will have a chance to upgrade their holiday décor and support a worthy cause during a raffle happening in Sienna Plantation and benefiting Child Advocates of Fort Bend.

Sixteen decorators have donated 17 lavishly decorated wreaths and swags that are on display now in the Sienna Homefinder Center, 5777 Sienna Parkway. The items also will be on display in model homes during Frost Fest, a Dec. 5 and 6 event featuring 30,000 pounds of snow and an ice rink. Frost Fest is open to the public.
