The typical “family photo” experience is a microcosm of parenting. As everyone poses for the picture, the kids are bickering and the parents are edgy. It takes 47 agonizing attempts to get the perfect picture! Someone always has their eyes closed or everyone is smiling except one person. Then the complaining starts because it’s taking too long. An hour later (though it feels like days later), the photo session is finally over. Nobody in the family likes each other any more but we do have our perfect picture!

Anserra in Katy - From the $230s
( Houston Business Journal ) - A new four-story multifamily development is slated to open next year within LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. Houston-based Martin Fein Interests Ltd. will develop The Grand at LaCenterra, a 34-acre mixed-use town center development in Katy. It is slated to open the second quarter of 2015.
Cinco Ranch is No. 1 in Texas and No. 3 in the United States for new-home sales, according to a study from John Burns Real Estate Consulting Co., which compiles an annual list of the nation’s top 20 master-planned communities.
Homebuilders in Cinco Ranch sold 854 new homes in 2013, moving the 8,100-acre community up from its 4th place national ranking in 2012. Cinco Ranch was the only Houston area community in the national top five communities for 2013.
The housing recovery in 2013 was a very welcome topic: home prices went up, less homeowners were underwater, and builder confidence was rising. It is looking like 2014 will be another good year for housing. Here are 10 things that housing experts are expecting to see in 2014:
1. Larger Inventory
A short supply of homes in the beginning of 2013 drove home prices up, but that is expected to change for 2014. Rising prices and new construction should bring more homes, both new and old, to the 2014 market.
2. Rising Mortgage Rates
