Exclusive: Houston's next master planned community to break ground - By Houston Business Journal

Charlotte, N.C.-based Crescent ResourcesLLC has plans to break ground on Houston’s next master planned community in December in northeast Houston.

The 993-acre community, located in the Humble area, will be called the Groves.

The company declined to comment further on the development details.

Last October, the Houston Business Journal reported the company acquired the land for a “mixed-use community” with up to 2,259 single-family homes, 540 apartment homes, 50 acres for neighborhood retail and commercial uses and a 40-acre site for a future school.
