Sienna Plantation to Host First Farmers Market Oct. 30

Browse booths overflowing with farm-fresh produce at Sienna Plantation’s first Community Farmers Market, Sunday, Oct. 30.

The master-planned community will host the event in partnership with resident owners of SweetNes Honey, a local supplier of raw honey, at the train depot parking lot near the amphitheater, 9600 Scanlan Trace, from 1-5 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Farm-Fresh Organic Veggies and Fruits Come to Katy’s Cane Island

Some of the freshest fruits and vegetables in Texas along with farm-fresh dairy, artisan baked goods, organic cuts of meat and local poultry are coming to Katy’s Cane Island.

The new master-planned community is the first in the Houston area to establish a partnership with Farmhouse Delivery of Austin, an online service that brings the best of a Farmer’s Market to customers by delivering Texas-grown organic and sustainably produced vegetables and fruits.


The Farmers Market at Bridgeland®, set for 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 13th, is sure to impress both grocery and gift shoppers with an assortment of seasonal crops and locally-handcrafted goods. Since May of 2012, consumers from throughout the Cypress area have attended the gathering at Lakeland Activity Center at 16902 Bridgeland Landing on the second Sunday of every month. The market hosts vendors that sell wholesome, season-ready produce, free-range eggs and a plethora of unique, homemade products.  


The Farmers Market at Bridgeland will feature a variety of vendors on November 8 and again on December 13, providing visitors in and around the community an opportunity to shop for unique gifts close to home.   

Products offered at the annual Artisan Market include handcrafted jewelry, ceramics, paintings, rock candles, wood work and much more.  The Artisan Market, a staple during the holiday months at the Farmers Market at Bridgeland, is expected to draw a great crowd.  The market begins at 12:30 pm and is a rain or shine event. 

Much Merriment as We Mark a Major Market Milestone - Westchase District


The USDA helped bring it into the world with a federal grant. New and returning customers have nurtured it and kept it alive. Now, the Westchase District Farmers Market is walking on its own, and celebrating its first birthday tomorrow!

"Mobile Market" at CityWest Draws 300+ Workers - Westchase District

More than 300 office workers from the four buildings at CityWestPlace turned out to shop a special mobile version ofWestchase District's Farmers Marketlast Thursday.
The event was designed to educate area employees about the market, which takes place every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at 10503 Westheimer Road. Eleven vendors worked double duty as business professionals perused and purchased goods found at the weekly market.

The Farmers Market at Bridgeland to Feature Pickling Demonstration on Aug. 10

CYPRESS, TX (July 30, 2014) – Alongside a demonstration on how to make homemade pickles, artisan merchants, local farmers and other unique vendors will set up shop at The Farmers Market at Bridgeland Sunday, Aug. 10 from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

PEAS Farm, a vendor based out of Conroe that typically supplies seasonal produce, free-range eggs and local honey at the market, will lead the pickling demonstration and also sell pickling kits, complete with cucumbers, seasoning, vinegar and a jar.

Don't Bee Cruel: Enjoy a Natural Buzz with Elvis - Westchase District


Elvis d'Agrella and Patricia, his wife, will conduct a family-friendly beekeeping demonstration at this week's Westchase District Farmers Market, discussing how bees pollinate and how hives work. Buckfast honey bees will be in a sealed glass observation hive and may be viewed through magnifying glasses.
