Chesmar Homes Begins Sales of 1st Townhomes in Woodforest

(Montgomery, Texas – Oct. 13, 2014) Chesmar Homes is starting sales of the first townhome designs in Woodforest today, with the opening of its new model home.

The model, 256 Cheswood Forest Drive, showcases one of three townhome floor plans available in the South Montgomery County community. The two-story designs feature three bedrooms, flex space and two-car garages.

Woodforest Sees Surge in Custom Home Construction

(Montgomery, Texas – Sept. 19, 2014)  Drawn by larger homesites, smaller schools and an influx of companies such as Exxon Mobil, custom builders have invested heavily in Woodforest, completing three inventory homes with three more underway.

Houston Business Journal - The Houston area grew by 137,458 people, or 2.23 percent, between 2012 and 2013, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau and mapped by Esri. However, the growth has definitely been less than equal throughout the Houston area.

The data not only tracked the increase or decrease of each county, but also whether or not the change was due to natural causes, such as births and deaths, or new people moving to the county.

Houston Business Journal - Beacon Land Development is developing a private golf club and community in Montgomery County, the Dallas-based company said April 3.

Bluejack National will be built on 755 acres at the former home of Blaketree National Golf Club, which was at 4430 S. FM 1486 in Montgomery northwest of Houston.

Woodforest Announces Gift Card Promotion

(Montgomery, Texas – Nov. 1, 2013) With Woodforest experiencing another year of record-breaking home sales, the development is ending 2013 with a holiday-inspired incentive for new-home buyers, a $500 VISA gift card.

The promotion is good for home sales from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31 as long as the home closes by July 31, 2014.

“While start-up construction is always an option, buyers wanting to move sooner currently have plenty of choices, with more than 40 homes either ready now or under construction in Woodforest,” said Virgil Yoakum, the development’s general manager.
