Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital and the Sugar Land Skeeters will team up for Pink in the Park, Friday, May 6 at Constellation Field in Sugar Land. Join the Skeeters and proudly wear your pink as the Skeeters take on the Somerset Patriots in the “Pink Out” game starting at 7:05 p.m.  

UT MD Anderson named top-ranked hospital for cancer care

 The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has been ranked the No. 1 hospital for cancer care in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospital” survey.

Since the annual survey launched in 1990, MD Anderson has been named one of the top two cancer hospitals in the United States. It has ranked first 11 times in the past 14 years.

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital welcomes Dr. Susan Mathew

SUGAR LAND—(October 3, 2014) — Susan Mathew, M.D., is joining the Sugar Land staff of Houston Methodist Rheumatology Associates.

Dr. Mathew cares for patients with a wide range of rheumatic diseases, with a special emphasis on lupus. She comes to Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital from Geisinger Medical Center, a clinical campus of Temple University in Danville, Pennsylvania, where she served a fellowship in rheumatology.

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land participates in Summer of Sharing Food Drive, Fills local food pantry shelves

SUGAR LAND, TX (August 18, 2014) Employees from Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital donated more than $1,600- which translates to 6,500 pounds of food- to East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry Food Pantry during the hospital’s first-ever Summer Food Drive.

“There are so many kids in our area who go hungry during the summer when they do not have access to school meals,” said Vickie Coates, Executive Director at East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry. “We are so grateful to our Memorial Hermann Sugar Land friends for their generous contributions.”

SUGAR LAND, TX (June 19, 2014) – In the last year, more than 2400 area student athletes received medical support and services through Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital.

During this athletic season, Memorial Hermann Sugar Land provided medical support to middle and high school students in the Lamar Independent School District, and surrounding schools including Brazos, Ganado, Fort Bend Christian, Industrial, Logos Preparatory, and Needville.
