Dawson High School’s Ovation Theatre’s musical of the year, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (H2$) Thursday Preview, will open the show on January 28.  A Business Night & Mixer will start at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th. Tickets to the mixer may be pre-ordered via email by January 22.

The festival season in Pearland, TX will kick off on Saturday, September 19 with “FUSION of the Arts”, a blending of art and prose. “FUSION of the Arts” is co-sponsored by The Pearland Alliance for Arts & Culture (PAA&C) and the Pearland Arts League (PAL).

               The Pearland Art League’s 5th Annual Juried Art Exhibition featuring the work of 30 local artists opens at 3:30. Dennis LaValley, Juror, is the Art Department Chair at Alvin Community College. The art show is being held in PAA&C’s office and annex at 2341 N. Galveston Street, Pearland, TX 77581.

Judy Berno, the operating partner of Keller Williams Realty Inc. Pearland, plans to open a new office to serve downtown Houston (EaDo) and the greater east side of Houston. Berno opened Keller Williams Sunrise in Pearland over 13 years ago. The office today has 210 agents, making it the largest realty office in Pearland.

The new office will be called Keller Williams Downtown. Berno hopes to open her new office with 50 real estate agents by the end of the year or early 2016. Berno is interviewing independent Realtors already working in and around downtown.

Forgotten Angels Wild West Shindig Fund Raiser Hits The Mark

Friends and supporters gathered to enjoy a fine meal of cowboy cuisine prepared by Chef Doug Atkinson and the Throw-Down Cookers for Forgotten Angels’ Wild West Shindig at the home of Mac & Renee McGuire in Pearland. Before the night was over more than $45,000 was raised for individuals living with developmental, intellectual and physical disabilities under the care of Forgotten Angels.

The Pearland Chamber of Commerce is hosting a job fair on June 11 at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at  12101 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland 77584. Companies wishing to participate in the 2015 Job Fair should call 281-485-3634 to reserve a table.

Over 250 applicants attended the 2014 job fair. Applicants are invited to stop by from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and should bring copies of their resume. Coder Camps is sponsoring the job fair.
