Rosenberg Present August Beautification Honors

At its regular meeting on August 4, 2015, City Council recognized Rosenberg citizens and businesses for their efforts to enhance and beautify our community.

Melvin and Marilyn Emmons (4109 Junker Street), Hector and Sally Gutierrez (4102 Junker Street), Jan Leonard (4817 Sandalwood Avenue), and Hector and Rosa Vasquez (2108 Spruce Drive) were recognized with landscaping beautification awards; and Captain D's Seafood Restaurant (3714 Avenue H) and McDonald's (3627 Avenue H) were recognized with renovation awards on behalf of the Rosenberg Image Committee.  

Rosenberg Employees Earn Employee of the Quarter Honors

The City of Rosenberg proudly recognized three City employees - Police Officer James Thompson, and Parks and Recreation employees , Luis Bentancourt and Ricardo Alaniz – at the July 21, 2015 City Council Meeting, for their hard work and dedicated service in two separate acts.

At its regular meeting on June 7, 2015, City Council recognized Rosenberg citizens and businesses for their efforts to enhance and beautify our community.

Wayne and Kaye Pomikal (3602 Avenue R) and Monte and Josefina Silhavy (4308 Juan Carlos Court) were recognized with landscaping beautification awards; and Our Lady of Guadalupe (1600 Avenue D) was recognized with a renovation award on behalf of the Rosenberg Image Committee.  

Certificates were presented at the Council meeting by Mayor McConathy and Councilor William Benton, Image Committee member. 

Rosenberg Christmas Nights Promises Something for Everyone over Three Nights of Fun in Historic Downtown

ROSENBERG, TEXAS (November 14, 2014):  Rosenberg Christmas Nights will be held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, December 4 through 6, in Historic Downtown Rosenberg.  This new re-imagined holiday  event will feature three evenings of merriment for all ages, set against the backdrop of Rosenberg’s historic downtown and cultural district.

Rosenberg Named a 2015 Main Street City by Texas Historical Commission

ROSENBERG, TEXAS (October 23, 2014):  Rosenberg has been named one of two 2015 Main Street cities by the Texas Historical Commission.  It will now join 88 other active Main Street cities across the state, in the program designed to assist with downtown revitalization through organization, design, promotion, and economic restructuring.

National Night Out Neighborhood Block Party Early Registration Deadline 9/15

ROSENBERG, TEXAS (September 11, 2014):  The 31st Annual National Night Out (NNO) will be held in Texas on Tuesday, October 7, 2014.  Rosenberg will celebrate National Night Out via interactions with local police and fire personnel at neighborhood block parties, and the community-wide event at Brazos Town Center.  

RPD hopes to make this year’s NNO the biggest and best ever in terms of neighborhood block parties, and to encourage this, is offering a chance to win a pizza party for each neighborhood block party registered with the Department by September 15.

Rosenberg Fire Station No. 3 Official Opening and Dedication Event - Saturday, July 26

ROSENBERG, TEXAS (July 22, 2014): The City of Rosenberg will hold the official opening ceremony for Fire Station No. 3, including a dedication and hose uncoupling, on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 9 a.m.  Fire Station No. 3 is located south of Reading Road, just off of FM 2977 on August Green Drive. Station tours and refreshments will be available following the ceremony, and members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend and help celebrate the opening of Rosenberg's newest station.
