Fort Bend Youth Football League spreads some Christmas Cheer at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital

“Fort Bend Youth Football League takes pride in giving back to the community,” said Jacqueline Jean-Baptiste, the Executive Director for the Fort Bend Youth Football League (FBYFL) .  “The toy drive is important to our league because it gives us an opportunity to give back to our community and families in need.  There are kids who may spend Christmas in the hospital and if we can help put a smile on their face by this small token, then it’s a job well done.”

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Emergency Room recently celebrated its 5th year of top 10% in the Nation for Customer Satisfaction.  The administrative team set aside time to serve the emergency room staff a barbecue lunch in appreciation for their outstanding performance and dedication to patient care.

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land participates in Summer of Sharing Food Drive, Fills local food pantry shelves

SUGAR LAND, TX (August 18, 2014) Employees from Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital donated more than $1,600- which translates to 6,500 pounds of food- to East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry Food Pantry during the hospital’s first-ever Summer Food Drive.

“There are so many kids in our area who go hungry during the summer when they do not have access to school meals,” said Vickie Coates, Executive Director at East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry. “We are so grateful to our Memorial Hermann Sugar Land friends for their generous contributions.”

During this athletic season, Memorial Hermann Sugar Land provided medical support to middle and high school students in the Lamar Independent School District, and surrounding schools including Brazos, Ganado, Fort Bend Christian, Industrial, Logos Preparatory, and Needville.

Memorial Hermann to expand into Cypress

Houston Business Journal - Memorial Hermann Health System has purchased a 32-acre site in the Cypress area, the one hole left in the system’s geographic coverage, according to President and CEO Dan Wolterman.

Ninety-four percent of the region's population lives within a five- to seven-minute car drive to a Memorial Hermann hospital, Wolterman told the Houston Business Journal in October.

"The one section left is the Cypress area," Wolterman said at the time. "That’s a big boom area.”

Memorial Hermann to kick off $650M project in the Texas Medical Center

Memorial Hermann Health System — Houston's largest health care system — will soon begin a $650 million expansion and renovation of its Texas Medical Center campus.
