Twin Creeks Middle School Students Win a Top Prize at Sally Ride Science Festival

HOUSTON – Oct. 31, 2014 –Twin Creeks Middle School students joined hundreds of other students from across the country at the annual Sally Ride Science Festival Saturday, Oct. 25 at Rice University.

This annual event gives middle-school students an opportunity to share a day filled with engaging activities relating to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). 

Woodforest Golf Club - Exxon campus spurs Houston golf course upgrades

Woodforest Golf Club is set to open a $6 million clubhouse later this month. The 17,000-square-foot club features a professional golf shop, 120-seat restaurant and bar, and a veranda with views of the Steve Elkington-designed 27-hole golf course. Two of its 15 wide-screen televisions feed in live video from the 18th hole.

Construction is moving forward on a neighborhood for active seniors near the Exxon Mobil campus in North Houston.

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Taylor Morrison will build 700 homes in a new 257-acre community, Bonterra, for active seniors 55 years old and above. The development is located within the Johnson DevelopmentCorp.’s Woodforest. 

Austin-based residential developer reveals plans near Exxon Mobil campus by Houston Business Journal

Houston Business Journal - A new residential development is coming to the area around the massive Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) campus in north Houston that's set to open in 2015.

Oden Hughes, an Austin-based developer, said on April 7 that it broke ground on Parkside Place, a 384-unit apartment complex at the northwest corner of FM 2920 and Kuykendahl Road. The new complex is just four miles from the Exxon Mobil campus.
