Cross Creek Ranch Plans Booming July 2

Old Glory and the birth of America will be commemorated with fun and fireworks at the Cross Creek Ranch Stars and Stripes Celebration Saturday, July 2.

The free, annual event takes place from 6-9:30 p.m. on the big hill at 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane with a variety of festive activities including a dunking booth, a pie-eating contest, face painting, a bounce house and more. Houston favorites The Grateful Geezers will rock the party with renditions of blues, R & B, rock and jazz tunes. The celebration is open to the public.

CONSTELLATION FIELD EARNS TOP FOUR SPOT IN BALLPARK DIGEST’S BEST BALLPARKS

Constellation Field, home of the Sugar Land Skeeters, earned a pivotal spot in the Semifinals of Ballpark Digest’s recent poll of Independent Baseball’s Best Ballparks. All four finalists came out of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and pinned the Sugar Land Skeeters vs. the Somerset Patriots and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs vs. the Lancaster Barnstormers. The Skeeters advanced to the semifinals and were ultimately outvoted by the Patriots, the defending contest champions. 

SKEETERS OPEN UP SEVEN GAME HOMESTAND AGAINST BLUE CRABS

The Sugar Land Skeeters open up a seven game home stand at Constellation Field on Monday, June 20 against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs beginning at 7:05 p.m. CT. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. CT. The Skeeters return to Sugar Land after a 3-3 road trip giving them a 29-27 record on the season, two games back of first place York in the Freedom Division race. Parking is free for all Skeeters home games.

Elementary STEM Initiative at Fort Bend Christian Academy

The Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) initiative at FBCA is a collaborative effort with a single mission: produce a God-honoring, cohesive, cutting-edge program that engages learners through riveting, relevant and competitive curriculum. The goal is to yield learners equipped to be problem-solving leaders in college and industry.
