Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital nurses Allison Damron, MSN, RN, ACNP-BC, Elizabeth Gonzales, DNP, RN, ACNP-BC, CCRN, and Amy Sebastian-Deutsch, DNP, RN, CNS, AOCNS, have been named Gold Award winners in the 12th Annual Good Samaritan Foundation’s Excellence in Nursing Awards.

The board-certified physical and occupational therapists at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital do more than help patients improve mobility and return to active lifestyles. They are also training the next generation of specialized therapists in areas such as orthopedic physical therapy, sports physical therapy, athletic training and occupational therapy with a specialty in hand rehabilitation.

Sienna Plantation Hosts Truck N’ Munch Food Truck Fest Oct. 14

Hungry fans of street fare will be able to choose from a range of gourmet treats during a mobile food fest at Sienna Plantation Oct. 14.

At Truck N’ Munch, more than 20 Houston-area food trucks will gather from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Club Sienna parking lot, 9600 Scanlan Trace, to serve up lobster rolls, burgers, sushi, tacos, ice cream sandwiches, old-fashioned sundaes and more.

Johnson Development Breaks Ground in Veranda

Dirt is officially turning in Johnson Development’s newest Houston-area community, with the recent groundbreaking ceremony in Veranda.

Ron Brandani Wins ‘I Am Sienna’ Contest; $5,000 to go to Connor Man DIPG Foundation

The public has spoken and Ron Brandani has been selected as the resident who best represents master-planned Sienna Plantation during the “I Am Sienna” promotion.

A total of 15,320 votes were cast during the online competition in which five well-known Sienna residents vied to win $5,000 for their favorite charity. Brandani was the winner with 57 percent of the vote.

Cross Creek Ranch Expands, Opens 18 New Models

Cross Creek Ranch’s growth continues with the opening of six more neighborhoods and 18 new model homes this year, as well as increasing home sales.

While declining oil prices have softened Houston’s housing market in recent months, the Fulshear community has experienced a nearly 10 percent increase in sales over the previous year, said Rob Bamford, general manager of Cross Creek Ranch.
