Fort Bend Christian Academy's History of Success in the Arts

Fort Bend Christian Academy's visual arts program was recognized as the TAPPS 4A State Champions between 2011-2015 and received second place in 2016 out of nearly thirty schools.

Under the direction of the high school art department chair, Robert Sanders, the program has grown exponentially. FBCA students have excelled in various artistic mediums including photography, sculpture and sketching. 

Fort Bend Christian Academy Names Public Relations Director

Kim Rice has been named Public Relations Director for Fort Bend Christian Academy. With more than 15 years of marketing and sales experience, Rice has served Fort Bend Christian Academy in the Development and Public Relations departments for the last eight years. She has coordinated special fundraising events and produced annual online auctions.

Fort Bend Christian Academy High School Names Instructional Coordinator

Dr. Rebecca Deurlein has been named Instructional Coordinator for Fort Bend Christian Academy High School.

With twenty years of teaching experience, Deurlein’s other roles include AP Language teacher and Dean of Girls. During her career, she has served as Department Chair and on various leadership teams, worked at the district level on curriculum initiatives and with the Department of Education on improving teacher instruction.

Fort Bend Christian Academy New Board of Trustees Members

Fort Bend Christian Academy (FBCA) announces the appointment of Simon (Trey) Hendershot and Josh LaRocca as new members of the FBCA Board of Trustees. 
Trey Hendershot is the managing shareholder of the Houston-based law firm, Kerr, Hendershot & Cannon, P.C. where he leads the Business Law and Regulatory sections of the firm. He is a member of the the Texas State Bar and American Health Lawyers Association. 
Josh LaRocca is a Principal with commercial real estate firm Avison Young, Houston.

Bouvier Selected as FBCA High School Principal

Fort Bend Christian Academy is pleased to announce the selection of Craig Bouvier as the High School Principal. Mr. Bouvier has extensive experience as a head of school, middle and high school principal, and teacher. He comes to Sugar Land from the University of Alabama, where he is completing his doctoral studies, and Covenant Classical Schools, where he serves as Director.

Fort Bend Christian Academy Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent

Fort Bend Christian Academy is pleased to announce that five more members of the senior class will be playing college athletics. Grant Baecker, Zachary Richards, McKenna Rylands, Ty Stubbs, and Julia Tape signed national letters of intent to continue competing athletically at the college level.

Fort Bend Christian Academy Presents Author & Speaker Dr. Rebecca Deurlein's New Book, Teenagers 101

Author and teacher Dr. Rebecca Deurlein will be introducing and signing her new book, Teenagers 101, on November 13, 7:00 pm, on the campus of Fort Bend Christian Academy in Sugar Land. A portion of the evening's book sales will benefit the Literacy Council of Fort Bend County.
