Harmony Plans Sweet Model Home Tour

Harmony is promising all treats and no tricks during the Harmony Model Home Candy Crawl this October.

Visitors can tour 14 sweetly decorated model homes in the Spring development  10 a.m. to 6 pm.. Saturday, Oct. 15, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16. Tour maps and treat bags can be picked up at The Thicket recreation center, 3811 Everly Bend Drive.

On Saturday, visitors can enjoy special activities 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Thicket including a pumpkin patch, inflatables, face painting and snacking on Kettle Corn.

Celebrate Oktoberfest Sienna-Style Oct. 22

Prepare to polka as Sienna Plantation fires up the oompah band for an Oktoberfest celebration at the Village of Sawmill Lake model home park, 9815 Cameron Way, 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22.

Lederhosen is not required to enjoy the festivities, which include music, food, games and a Biergarten (ages 21 and up), but a $10 admission fee is. Participants will receive a commemorative Sienna bierstein and one drink and one food item per ticket. The event is open to the public, and proceeds benefit the Fort Bend Education Foundation. 

Katy's Cane Island Hosts Hub’s Jump-a-Palooza, Kids Story Time and More

The Katy master-planned community of Cane Island continues its schedule of community events in September when families can enjoy bounce houses, kids story time, wine tastings and Movies on the Lawn.

Open to the public, each event will be held at Cane Island’s all-new Amenity Village, 2100 Cane Island Parkway.  To reach Cane Island, take the new Cane Island Parkway exit off Interstate 10, head north on the parkway and take the temporary detour into the community.

Woodson's Wheels inspires residents to enjoy the outdoors at Woodson's Reserve

Woodson’s Reserve, a 692-acre master-planned community located in Spring, TX, is encouraging residents to enjoy the outdoors and live active, healthy lifestyles through their Woodson’s Wheels program. The program gives each family who moves into the community one personalized Woodson’s Reserve cruiser bicycle from Bike Barn, a local well-known bike shop, upon closing their home.

Land Tejas Opens Recreation Complex in Miramesa at Canyon Lakes West

Land Tejas and members of the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 6 to open a new recreation complex in Miramesa at Canyon Lakes West. 

The five-acre complex includes a 3,000 square-foot clubhouse with exercise

facilities and meeting space overlooking a resort-style pool.  The complex also includes a splash pad, covered pavilion, lighted tennis court, sand volleyball court, playground and dog park.
