Houston selects Cameron, Eshelman in Comp Round A and second round

HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Astros have completed their selections tonight by picking outfielder Daz Cameron and right-handed pitcher Thomas Eshelman in Day 1 of the June 2015 First-Year Player Draft. Cameron was selected with the first pick in the Competitive Balance Round A (#37 overall) and Eshelman was selected in the second round (#46 overall).

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Sugar Land Skeeters offense snapped out of a cold spell on Thursday, pushing across a season-high eight runs and breaking a four-game losing streak by fending off the Barnstormers, 9-5, at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster. The win boosts Sugar Land’s record to 11-16 on the season while Lancaster falls to 10-17 on the year.

Month highlighted by historic road trip, current 7-game win streak

HOUSTON, TX  – The Astros ended the month of April as the hottest club in the Major Leagues, riding a seven-game win streak while also winning 11 of their last 12 games. Their 15-7 (.681) mark was their best in April since the 1986 club went 14-6 (.700) en route to capturing the NL Western Division title.
