RIVERSTONE ADDS EMERALD HOMES TO BUILDER LINE-UP

Master-plannedRiverstone is adding Texas-based Emerald Homes to its extensive line-up of community builders.

The luxury division of DR Horton, Inc., will offer a series of high-end patio homes in the Fort Bend community’s new “Villas at Riverstone” neighborhood.

Design details have yet to be released, but pricing is expected to start in the $390,000s for a 2,450-square-foot home in the 10-acre section along University Boulevard. Homes will have a Sugar Land address.

Woodforest Starts Work in New Kingsley Neighborhood

 Following a busy first half of 2016, master-planned Woodforest continues its expansion with work starting on a new neighborhood, Kingsley.

Kingsley will feature 43 50-foot properties and homes by Gracepoint Homes and Wendell Legacy Homes. The builders are planning a selection of Southern-styled homes in Kingsley, with broad front porches accented by columns reminiscent of Craftsman architecture.

Farm-Fresh Organic Veggies and Fruits Come to Katy’s Cane Island

Some of the freshest fruits and vegetables in Texas along with farm-fresh dairy, artisan baked goods, organic cuts of meat and local poultry are coming to Katy’s Cane Island.

The new master-planned community is the first in the Houston area to establish a partnership with Farmhouse Delivery of Austin, an online service that brings the best of a Farmer’s Market to customers by delivering Texas-grown organic and sustainably produced vegetables and fruits.

Plans Announced for Trinity Oaks, Baytown’s First Master-Planned Community

A local developer has announced plans for Baytown’s first master-planned community of new homes aimed at providing a convenient, minutes-away option for the thousands of workers in the area who experience long daily commutes from other parts of town.

            Bordered by the Grand Parkway and FM 2354/Tri City Beach Road, Trinity Oaks spans 190 acres on the shore of Tabbs Bay in Baytown. 

Woodforest Again Most Active Montgomery County Development

Woodforest is again the most active master-planned community in Montgomery County, according to data compiled by housing consulting firm Metrostudy.

Metrostudy recently released its annual list of Houston’s top 25 developments based on the number of houses builders started. Woodforest ranked No. 4 in the Houston area for 2015 with 409 housing starts, nearly 100 more than the next Montgomery County development on the list. This is the second year Woodforest has earned the No. 4 spot.

Woodtrace, the gated Tomball area community by Friendswood Development Company will host the Woodtrace Parade of Homes event that includes 30 new homes open for touring and ready for summer move-in, free family-friendly weekend events beginning July 9 and continuing until July 25.

Cross Creek Ranch Adds Texana Center as Scarecrow Festival Beneficiary

While the creatively crafted scarecrows may only last a few days, the effects of the 2016 Fulshear Scarecrow Festival — returning Saturday, Oct. 15 — could better the lives of people with autism or intellectual disabilities for years.

The popular festival will support Arts Fulshear for a fifth year and a new beneficiary, the Texana Center, a 501c(3) organization whose mission is to change lives every day through treatment for autism, programs for adults with intellectual disabilities and those with behavioral healthcare issues.

NEWMARK HOMES OPENS MODEL IN BUSY RIVERSTONE ENCLAVE

Newmark Homes has opened a new model home in the Pebble Creek neighborhood of popular Riverstone, rated as Texas’ best-selling community.

Approximately 30 homes have sold in the neighborhood since sales started there earlier this year, nearly half of the 71 homes that will be built in the neighborhood.
