Cross Creek Ranch Expands, Opens 18 New Models

Cross Creek Ranch’s growth continues with the opening of six more neighborhoods and 18 new model homes this year, as well as increasing home sales.

While declining oil prices have softened Houston’s housing market in recent months, the Fulshear community has experienced a nearly 10 percent increase in sales over the previous year, said Rob Bamford, general manager of Cross Creek Ranch.

Sienna Plantation will showcase more than 20 “boo-tiful” models and resale homes during Open Homes October.

Throughout the month, visitors can tour Sienna’s 21 model homes showcasing designs for patio homes, garden homes, executive designs and custom homes priced from the $280,000s. Sixteen of the models are found in Sienna’s newest enclave, the Village of Sawmill Lake. Builders will have a cornucopia of money-saving promotions during the event.

Also during the month will be open houses of existing homes for sale in master-planned Sienna Plantation.

Woodforest Craft Fest Celebrates Artisan Brews Sept. 24

The Christine Allen Nature Park in Woodforest will take on the characteristics of a local brewbub in celebration of all things fermented and foamy at the Woodforest Craft Fest Saturday, Sept. 24.

The free festival taking place from 1-5 p.m., at the park, 5831 Woodforest Parkway South, will feature award-winning craft brews, pub grub, live country music by Josh Fuller and the Cody Bryan Band, Texas barbeque and a jumbotron television airing college football games.

Musical group Mango Punch will bring some “Uptown Funk” to Fort Bend’s Sienna Plantation Friday, Sept. 23.

During the free performance, concertgoers can “Move Like Jagger” from 7-10 p.m. at the master-planned community’s amphitheater, 3777 Sienna Parkway. It is open to the public.

Voted the Houston area’s “Best Latin Band” six years in a row by the Houston Music Press, Mango Punch plays a mix of Top 40, salsa and rock.
