The largest rocket Brazoswood High School has ever produced at 28-pounds and 8 feet long flew to 4141 feet, powered by a Hypertek L610 rocket motor producing 235 pounds of thrust. After reaching 375 miles per hour, both parachutes deployed exactly as designed and the rocket landed unharmed.

Seventh grade Lake Jackson Intermediate student Betty Summers' artwork is displayed on the front cover of Brazosport ISD's annual holiday card. Her artwork was selected from over 250 submissions from across the district by students in grades 5-8. Summers was recognized during the BISD Board Meeting in December. Congratulations to Betty and her art teacher Michele Stallard!
Dow Texas Operations awarded Fleming Elementary School the Dollars for Doers grant. Mrs. Nichols-Vorpe's Lego Robotics class will use these funds to purchase additional Lego kits for design and curriculum expansion. Congrats to all.
