Houston Community College - South Campus
Houston Community College’s South Campus is a great place to start, continue or enhance your educational journey. Conveniently located at 1990 Airport Boulevard just off Highway Texas 288 South at Airport, HCC’s South Campus is the place to begin essential coursework leading to an Associate’s degree, workforce certification, or transfer credits to a four-year institution.
It’s also a great place to prepare for college through HCC’s high-quality GED and adult education courses.
The campus is slated to expand to meet the growing needs of communities in Houston’s south and southeast areas. Public spaces and recreation areas are in the planning stages for the campus, which also is accessible via convenient METRO bus service to all points in Houston.
South Campus Workforce Building:
One of the newest features of the South Campus is its new Workforce Building. Located next to South Campus’ existing Willie Lee Gay Hall, the new Workforce Building will house some of the most-popular workforce programs available at HCC, particularly in the field of construction. This building is slated to open in 2018.
HCC Construction Center of Excellence:
A large portion of the new South Campus Workforce Center will house the HCC Construction Center of Excellence. The Construction C.O.E. will offer students state-of-the art materials and classrooms to master construction technology.

The Center's HVAC program will offer the latest techniques in air conditioning, heating and ventilation. The Center's Industrial Electricity program offers skill development in automation techniques to operate entire buildings or factories with programmable controls. These in-demand fields offer top pay and endless opportunity.
South Early College H.S. (SECHS):
South Campus also is home to the award-winning South Early College H.S. (SECHS). This specialized HISD high school focuses on STEM careers, and draws students from across the district. SECHS is one of five early college campuses offering students the chance to earn both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree while still in high school.
