Serving the Katy area for more than 30 years, Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital is known for providing world-class clinical expertise, patient-centered care and leading-edge technology close to home. Nationally recognized for patient safety and quality, Memorial Hermann Katy features a 142-bed facility and a medical staff with disciplines spanning 38 specialties.
Renovations to the existing hospital include new surgical suites, labor and delivery, an expanded emergency department, and more.
The six-story, 229,000-square-foot patient tower will add capacity in multiple areas, including surgical suites, medical and surgical beds, labor and delivery, and the new Emergency Center. When construction is complete, the hospital’s total bed count will grow from 142 to 210 beds. Additionally, the first four floors will be operational, while the top two floors will be shelled space to accommodate future growth. This will allow the hospital to assess what services are needed most in the coming years and use the space accordingly. When the top two floors are eventually built out, the hospital’s total patient bed count could grow to over 300 beds. The patient tower will be completed in fall 2016.
