Homes are beginning to sprout in Woodforest’s Pine Island neighborhood, and the public will have their first chance to see what’s “Blooming in Pine Island” during a hard hat tour 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23.
The special event will tour three showcase homes underway in the gated Estate District of Pine Island, a village of timeless architecture, manicured gardens and tree-lined boulevards. In addition to seeing the progress of the three homes — each requiring approximately one year to build — guests also will enjoy refreshing island drinks.
The custom homes are on golf course properties that are at least a half-acre, with some neighborhood homesites up to three-fourths of an acre. Longtime Woodforest builder Jeff Paul Custom Homes broke ground first in Pine Island this spring on a 6,067-square-foot manse that also features impressive outdoor entertaining spaces.
Sterling Classic Homes — new to Woodforest — began work on its 6,352-square-foot design shortly after. In addition to multiple verandas, the home also offers an additional 1,307 square feet of customizable living space.
Another new builder, Tipler Design & Build, recently broke ground on a third showcase home that is inspired by architecture popular in the Hamptons. The 6,100-square-foot home features a two-story study, coffee station in the master suite and an additional 600 square feet of flex space.
All of the homes are priced at more than $1.5 million.
“These will be show homes beyond compare, reflecting the distinctive plan for Pine Island,” said Virgil Yoakum, general manager of Woodforest. “It will be interesting for the custom home buyer to see behind the walls at this stage of construction and the sizeable footprint these homes will have.”
Those interested in seeing the custom showcase homes should RSVP to email@example.com by Oct. 21.
Master-planned Woodforest surrounds Woodforest Golf Club, one of the area’s most popular courses with more than 48,000 rounds of golf reported annually. Thirteen well-known builders offer home designs in Woodforest that are priced from the $190,000s. In addition, nine custom homebuilders offer estate home designs priced into the millions.
