TIRR Memorial Hermann Outpatient Rehabilitation-Greater Heights is now offering pediatric rehabilitation. The intensive and specialized services specifically address the rehabilitation needs of children in an outpatient setting.
The multidisciplinary approach to pediatric patient care consists of physical, occupational, speech-language and aquatic therapy as well as neuropsychology and social work. Specialists at TIRR Memorial Hermann Outpatient Rehabilitation-Greater Heights will work to identify the goals of each child to help them get back the lives they love.
“Our goal from the start has been to bring the full spectrum of rehabilitative care to the Greater Heights,” said Susan Jadlowski, Senior Vice President and CEO of Memorial Hermann Greater Heights. “We’re happy to expand the elite level of care already offered to adults through TIRR Memorial Hermann Outpatient Rehabilitation-Greater Heights to children.”
The new pediatric space has incorporated a large mural painted by local artists, Mitch Cohen and April Murphy. “We want our rehabilitation area to be inviting to children and Mitch and April really helped to bring the space to life,” said Jadlowski. “It seemed like the perfect way to weave the Greater Heights community into this exceptional service we’re now offering.”
Recently TIRR Memorial Hermann was ranked the No. 2 rehabilitation hospital in the country for the second year in a row according to U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospital rankings for 2016-2017. This is the 27th consecutive year TIRR Memorial Hermann has been included in the prestigious rankings.
“TIRR Memorial Hermann is known around the world for quality and innovative rehabilitation and research,” said Carl Josehart, Senior Vice President and CEO of TIRR Memorial Hermann. “We’re thrilled to bring this new level of pediatric care to the Greater Heights to help our smallest patients make the biggest comebacks.”
