35 Camps Keep Cy-Fair Students Busy Throughout Summer Vacation
CYPRESS, TX (June 4, 2014) – As agendas clear and routines slow down for parents and school-aged children across the Cy-Fair area, Bridgeland is preparing for a bustling summer and offering a social calendar chockfull of unique day camps for resident and local youth. With 35 options available, children ages three to 15 can choose from a wide range of camps taking place throughout the summer at Lakeland Activity Center, 16902 Bridgeland Landing.
“Our day camps have become a local summer-time favorite and are a great addition to Bridgeland,” said Rachel Johnson, the community’s on-site Activities Director. “Our team works hard to bring in specialty teachers and workshops that can’t be found elsewhere.”
Pint-size Picassos can hone their creative talents while crafting recycled-art sculptures, duct-tape creations and other innovative pieces at the Art Exploration Camp. Another option, the Building Brains camp, is designed to improve elementary students’ math and science skills through the construction of simple machines made out of gears, levers and pulleys. Students can get up close and personal with snakes, lizards, turtles and crocodiles at Reptile Camp, where they’ll learn about various creatures’ habitats and unique characteristics. Drama, nature and soccer day camps are also available.
“Having the camps close to participants’ homes is such a convenience for parents and busy families,” added Johnson, who organizes exercise classes, community gatherings and family-oriented events in Bridgeland throughout the year.
While the camps are open to the general public, residents will receive preferred pricing. For a detailed listing of all the camps, which are planned and managed by the community’s home owners’ association, visit www.bridgelandlife.com.
