Pearland Ripe For Tourism ~ Gulf Coast Destination Near Houston, Texas Medical Center

Pearland is A Perfect Pick...to stay, play, meet, and getaway and the Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau wants to make sure everyone knows it. A key part of the marketing effort to promote Pearland as a destination on the Texas Gulf Coast includes the launching of a branding campaign A Perfect Pick and the debut of a new website – visitpearland.com.
    Touting the perks of Pearland, the website is designed to familiarize meeting planners, corporate planners and leisure travelers about the easy accessibility to Houston, great local shopping and dining options, and venues available to host events. Visitors to the website will find easy modules to submit RFP's, itinerary ideas, and a calendar with events happening in and around Pearland, plus many more features.
     "We are positioning Pearland as a destination to stay in our hotels, dine in our restaurants and play in our region which will provide overall economic impact," said Kim Sinistore, City of Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Director.
    Tourism plays a significant role in the economic impact of Pearland. In 2012, tourism generated $117 million in visitor spending and $2.9 million in local tax revenues, which includes sales tax and occupancy tax for the City.
