A Houston homebuilder is leading a revival of a longtime neighborhood east of the Heights where new, high-end, three-story homes are expected to attract millennial homebuyers with some of lowest new home construction prices inside Loop 610.
Cove & Cobble Builders has completed a collection of contemporary-styled, single-family homes on Jewett Street west of I-45 in Brooke Smith, a long-overlooked pocket near the Heights just north of downtown now dotted with recently built and remodeled homes.
“Over time, we’ll see the same kind of transformation here we witnessed in the Heights,” says Aida Millan of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene, listing agent for the Cove & Cobble luxury homes in the newly named Vincent Place. “The area is just east of the Heights where you can’t touch a resale – much less new construction – for under $700,000.”
Starting in the $430s, Cove & Cobble’s move-in, ready three-bedroom homes feature an island kitchen with stainless steel apron front sink, wine refrigerator and Bosch appliances, Energy Star double-hang windows, LED coffer lighting, soft-close cabinet drawers and doors, polished-chrome kitchen and bath fixtures, moisture and noise-resistant hardwood, nine and ten-foot ceilings, pre-wired living room, dining and master bedroom speakers, and USB docking stations and outlets.
Ranging from 2,275-2,447 square feet, the new homes offer a first-floor guestroom with full bath, open second-floor living, dining and kitchen space, third-floor master suite and second guest bedroom. The homes also feature two-car attached garages and gated entry.
While the area’s resurgence of new and remodeled Victorian and traditional-style homes is just getting off the ground, Millan says it won’t be long before word catches on.
“In five years, you won’t recognize the quaint subdivision of Brooke Smith,” she says.
The new homes at 603, 605 and 607 Jewett Street in Vincent Place can be toured by contacting Aida Millan email@example.com or at 713-557-4100.
Cove & Cobble also is adding new homes in the Heights at 113 East 27th Street, scheduled for completion by March 2017, and at 1024 Aurora Street, scheduled for completion by summer 2017.
