Long-time residents will recognize familiar names incorporated into the streets and parkways of newly opened Treeline, the gated 120-acre namesake community opening on the former Treeline Golf Club site in Tomball. In all, 17 streets in phase I are named after community leaders. Future phases of Treeline will carry on the tradition.
The main boulevard, Randy Riley Way, recognizes Randy Riley the land planner on the development team for the Treeline community. Riley died suddenly last year leaving a wife and two children behind. Rampy Green Drive recognizes the prior owner of the golf course, Cliff Rampy. Other familiar names include Strack, Krug, Hodge, Seidel, and Muller. A street dedication ceremony hosted by the Tomball Chamber of Commerce, Ashton Woods Homes, Taylor Morrison and Ryland Homes took place on May 22nd.
Brian Williams, Land Development Manager for Ryland Homes Houston Division, said the Greater Tomball Chamber of Commerce and others recommended community leaders. “Treeline was chosen to be a namesake community due to its history and importance in the development of northwest Houston,” said Williams. “It’s a nice way for us to give back to the community.”
Special initiatives were taken during development and construction of the amenities at Treeline to preserve as many of the trees as possible, said Williams. Community architectural features include a stately gated, brick entry with a cascading fountain and meandering sidewalks along major boulevards. Treeline’s recreation center, currently under construction, will feature a resort style pool, splash pad, play ground, and meeting center. “The Treeline Club will have the look and feel of a fine country club. It’s going to be a very nice amenity enjoyed by residents of all ages,” said Williams.

Ryland and Ashton Woods are building in the same section featuring homes priced from the $250,000s to $340,000s. Taylor Morrison is offering homes priced from the $360,000s to $480,000s on 48 home sites in a gated estate section. The estate section features lush landscaping at the entry and a water feature placed in front of four beautiful mature trees preserved during development.
Treeline is located one-half mile north of the intersection of Spring-Cypress Road and North Eldridge Parkway.
