During a much needed rain storm, the City of Pearland celebrated the opening of its new Public Safety Building with great fanfare. The 79,800 sq. ft. facility, located at 2555 Cullen Parkway north of FM 518, is centrally located in Pearland’s midtown area. During the ceremony, Pearland recognized the Pearland Police Department’s 50th anniversary and National Police Week.

The Public Safety Building houses the Pearland police department, municipal courts, utility billing annex, emergency operations center and a Brazoria County tax office annex. Pearland’s former police station on Veteran’s Dr. will be utilized by other city departments. Photo by Jay Chapman.
