Honkey Tonk Heroes
The second performance of the KACC Alvin Live Summer Concert Series on July 12 will feature the Texas country band Honkey Tonk Heroes. Alvin Live concerts are sponsored by the Alvin Community College Foundation. Shake Russel will perform the final concert this summer on August 2. Honkey Tonk Heroes originated from the Houston area and performs throughout Texas. They have released two albums "Paybacks are Hell" and "Honkey Tonk and Heartaches". Alvin Live uses a studio setting for its productions on 89.7 FM and KACC-TV, Cable Access Channel 16. The studio seats 65 guests. Funds raised from Alvin Live performances are used for Alvin Community College Broadcast Communications student training and scholarships. Honkey Tonk Heroes will take the stage at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30. Alvin Community College students can get tickets for $15. Seating is limited. Light refreshments will be provided.
