Richmond, TX – The Fort Bend County Women's Center extended their deepest thanks to all their volunteers at a special Volunteer Recognition reception hosted by Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land. Whole Foods Market - Sugar Land generously donated the food for the event. Women's Center volunteer coordinators, Patty Holt and Amber Paaso, organized this annual reception as a Thank You for the crucial role volunteers play in the day-to-day operation of the Women's Center.
"Volunteers touch almost every aspect of what we do," said Holt, "They help organize and work at our special events and PennyWise stores; teach in our Learning Resource Center; answer calls on our hotline; serve in our shelter cafeteria; entertain the kids at the shelter during the summer; advocate for sexual assault victims at the hospital ... The list is endless and I don't know how we would function without them. They are at the heart and soul of the Women's Center."
