End of Life Education Seminar to be held at U of H School of Nursing
The University Of Houston School Of Nursing and the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Division will host an End of Life Education Seminar and Luncheon on Thursday, May 25, 2012 from 11:30 am- 1:00 pm at the University of Houston School of Nursing, Room 103B, 14000 University Blvd., Sugar Land, Texas 77479.
Communication in end of life care has ethical implications. The content, timing of conversations and how to present difficult news pose dilemmas for providers helping both patients and their families make decisions. This End of Life Education Seminar will feature the topic of Communication Ethics: What to Say, When to Say It, How to Say It and Who Says It. Seminar speakers include: Sandra McNeely, Assistant Professor of Nursing, University of Houston-Victoria; Nancy Wells, Practice Administrator and Sanjay Sethi, MD, both of the Texas Oncology Cancer Center Sugar Land.
The focus of the Fort Bend Chamber Healthcare Division is to attract and develop the highest quality healthcare services for the Greater Fort Bend County Area.
