Heather Kisner joins Fort Bend Christian Athletic Staff

Fort Bend Christian Academy (FBC) is pleased to announce the selection of Heather Kisner as the new Varsity Volleyball Coach. Graduating with a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas, Heather was a 4-year starter for the Longhorns. Her college honors and awards are extensive: Texas single-season record 488 digs in 2008, Team Captain 2008 & 2009, 2009 Final Four Finalist, 2010 Texas Tough Award, Texas Exes Lifetime Achievement Award, 2007-2009 Team Academic MVP, 2008 CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 6 Second Team, Two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team, Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, 2008 Time Warner Cable Texas Invitational Most Valuable Libero, 2007 CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 6 First Team, 2009 and 2008 Collegiate Beach Nationals participant.

 

In high school, Heather was a 4-year starter for 5A Fort Bend Clements and for the Houston Juniors Volleyball Club. Again, she received numerous honors and awards: #54 ranked recruit nationally by PrepVolleyball.com, member of the 2004 USA Girls' Junior Olympic Championships 16-Under All-Tournament Team, named to the 2005 Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) 5A All-State First Team, All-District 14-5A by the Houston Chronicle for three years, and also played basketball for Clements and earned First Team All-District 20-5A honors as a senior.

 

Following graduation from UT, Heather played professional volleyball in Europe, and now makes her home in Sugar Land. Fort Bend Christian Athletic Director Bruce Lane welcomes Heather, "We are excited to have Coach Kisner on board and look forward to her leadership of the Lady Eagles."
