Fort Bend Christian Academy (FBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Coach David Roberts to serve as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. Coach Roberts has 11 years of administrative experience in secondary education, nine as an Athletic Director. He currently serves as the Athletic and Student Activities Director at The Independent School in Wichita, Kansas. During Coach Roberts' four years at The Independent School, he led the Athletic Program to an All Sports State Championship ('10-'11), scoring more points for season finishes than over sixty schools in the State.

Coach Roberts brings over 20 years of football coaching experience, including 10 years as a high school Head Coach and six years as a college coach serving as an Assistant Head Coach or Defensive Coordinator. His record as a high school Head Football Coach is 73-31-2, with two Texas Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) State Championships and one runner-up finish as Head Coach at Greenhill School in Dallas.

Most important to the mission of FBC, Coach Roberts is a committed Christian who views coaching sports as a tremendous opportunity to mentor young student-athletes. He has expressed great enthusiasm at the prospect of returning to Christian education where his experience and expertise as an administrator and coach can be used to impact kids for Christ.
