According to the Houston Business Journal, Houston has a stronger economy than other Texas cities. From the August 15th edition: Although Texas business leaders predict a continued slowdown through the third quarter, Houston is expected to fare better than other major metro areas, according to a statewide survey. The Texas Business Leaders Confidence Index, a quarterly economic survey covering expectations for hiring, sales, profits and capital expenditures, gives Houston a current score of 46.1, tops in the state. San Antonio was at No. 2 with an index of 44.6, followed by Dallas-Fort Worth at 44.3 and Austin scoring lowest at 39.5. To read the full article, click here
