Recognition for Award-Winning Students at The Branch School

Many students at The Branch School received recognition for their successes at the end of year assembly.

 

PBS Kids Go! Writers Contest

Kindergarten student Isabella Koosh was a finalist at the PBS Kids Go! Writers Contest with her entry entitled Romance of the Sea.

 

Kumon In-School Honor Roll

Students who made the 2011-12 Kumon North America, Inc. In-School Honor Roll included: first grader Elizabeth Adee, second graders McKenzie Carrington and Anders White, third graders Max de Jong, Tommy Hughes, Emma Seidler, and  Davis Smith, fourth graders Akbarali Aziz, Jamari Bowers, Daniel Trotman Qvale, and J.J. Nelson;  sixth graders Jacqueline Pham , Natalie Jennings, Ayanna Burgess, and Kai Burgess; seventh  graders Andre Mach and Clayton Meyer, eighth graders Sydney Miller-Hewett and Nihil Patel.

 

Duke University TIP (Talent Identification Program) Talent Search

The following students were recognized for their participation in the Duke University TIPS Talent Search: Izzy Brunet, Julian Herrington, Natalie Jennings, Clayton Meyer, Jacqueline Pham, and Helen White.

 

Clayton Meyer was also recognized nationally for his high scores and will be attending a special ceremony at DukeUniversity this summer.

 

Honor Roll

Other award recipients on the A Honor Roll include: Colette Bucher, Clayton Meyer, Natalie Jennings, and Jacqueline Pham. Students receiving recognition for the AB Honor Roll include Sydney Miller-Hewett, Ozzie Prior, and Makenna Fitzsimmons.

 

Earlier in the year two Middle School students, Andre Mach and Jacqueline Pham, were invited to participate in the Congressional Youth Leadership Council in Washington,D.C.at the  Junior National Young Leaders Conference.
