The Hilton Garden Inn Houston/Pearland Hotel and Conference center officially opened with great fanfare. Located on Shadow Creek Parkway west of Texas 288, the 137 room hotel and 9,000-square-feet conference center, is the first of its kind in Pearland.
“We are very excited at the enthusiasm and support given to this project by Mayor Tom Reid, the Pearland Economic Development Corporation, the Pearland Area Chamber of Commerce, the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau and the entire community,” said Yasmin Walji, vice president and manager.
The conference center includes flexible, functional meeting space for up to 550 guests including permanent boardrooms for up to 16 people—all with high-tech capabilities. The full service venue is ideally suited for conferences, business meetings, weddings, reunions and special events.
“The Hilton Garden Inn is a great addition to the City of Pearland as it will fulfill the needs of both the business community and local residents,” said Mark Lesser, general manager. “We’ve already had a high school reunion here and a wedding party. And more are scheduled.”
All guestrooms feature the Garden Sleep System bed; Mirra chair by Herman Miller; 32” or 37” high-definition flat screen television with Direct TV featuring numerous HD channels; and innovative clock radio with MP3 connectivity. Fifteen suites offer complimentary wired and WiFi high-speed Internet access and mobile printing to the hotel’s 24-hour business center.
Hotel guests also will enjoy a fitness room featuring Precor cardio and strength equipment; an outdoor salt-water pool and whirlpool; a full-service restaurant and bar offering “al fresco” patio dining; lounge; and an onsite guest laundry facility.
