A Holiday Family Tradition returns to The Texas Repertory Theatre Co.
Monday, 17 November 2008 10:25

The Texas Repertory Theatre Co., NW Houston’s own critically-acclaimed professional theatre, brings warmth and laughter back to the holiday season with the return of the perennial yuletide favorite A Christmas Story. Back by popular demand for its third season this “Tribute to the Original, Traditional, One-Hundred-Percent, Red-Blooded, Two-Fisted, All-American Christmas" is perfect for the entire family, and evokes the warmth and nostalgia of the classic holiday film, which commemorates its 25th anniversary this year.

A Christmas Story will preview on December 3rd, and celebrate its Opening Night on December 5th, with a scheduled run through December 28th.

A Christmas Story is the wonderfully warm and wildly funny memoir of growing up in the 1940’s, as adapted from the writings of master storyteller Jean Shepard. Come follow 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his undying quest to get a Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas.  Join us this holiday season as Ralphie pleads his case, only to hear the consistent response…”You’ll shoot your eye out, kid!”

The Texas Repertory Theatre Co. is located at 14243 Stuebner Airline Rd. in the new Northwoods Plaza. Performances are Thursday at 7:30pm, Friday and Saturday at 8:00pm, and 3pm on Sunday afternoons. Tickets are $25-$45 with all children’s tickets half price for the holidays and can be purchased by calling the Texas Rep box office at 281-583-7573.
