Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge
Brazoria NWR has a key location on the Texas Gulf which helps draw one of the highest Audubon Christmas bird counts in the nation - more than 200 species. In the winter time you can expect to see snow geese, Canada geese, teal, gadwall, and mottled ducks. Summertime brings ten species of herons and egrets, white ibis, roseate spoonbill, mottled duck, clapper rail, horned lark, black skimmer, and scissor-tailed flycatcher.
