Alvin Parks Recreation
The Alvin Parks Department oversees the development and construction of all City parks and recreation facilities and is responsible for building and lawn maintenance for all City structures and facilities.
The department coordinates all summer activities, adult and youth sports year round and special events. The Parks and Recreation Department has one of the largest Community Services Program in Brazoria County. The Community Services Program also helps with special projects and events. The Alvin Senior Citizen Center is located at 309 W. Sealy.
The City of Alvin Parks and Recreation Department has many summer and year-round programs available to the community. All athletic programs are coordinated by experienced teachers, coaches, and professionals. The aquatic staff is certified by the American Red Cross and have taken extensive training to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
Bob S. Owen Pool: Available for rentals beginning in May. You may rent the facility Monday - Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. or 9:00 - 11:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. or 9:00 - 11:00 p.m. During the summer season the pool is available Monday - Sunday during the same time slots. Payment must be made in full at time of reservation. Fees:$125/two hours for residents (lifeguards included), $145/two hours for nonresidents (lifeguards included),$250/four hours for residents (lifeguards included), $290/four hours for nonresidents (lifeguards included)
Athletic Field Rental Fees: Non-Association Groups: The cost to rent the athletic fields are: Daytime use is $35.00 per hour per field. Nightime use is $60.00 per hour per field Association Groups: The cost to rent the athletic fields are: • Daytime use is at no cost to the association group(s) • Nightime use is $35.00 per hour per field Security/Clean up deposit $200.00 Key deposit for key(s) to concession stands, bathrooms, and storage building is $50.00 Damage deposit for concession stands, bathrooms and storage building is $500.00
Pavilion Rental Fees: All pavilions are available for rentals on a first come first serve basis and have a 2 hour minimum. Small Pavilion,Day Usage • Resident - $10.00 for two (2) hours • Nonresident - $20.00 for two (2) hours Large Pavilion,Day Usage • Resident - $20.00 for two (2) hours • Nonresident - $40.00 for two (2) hours Night Usage • Resident - $40.00 for two (2) hours • Nonresident - $60.00 for two (2) hours
