Greater 288 Partnership Focusing on Development Issues
The Texas Medical Center and Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) have joined The Greater 288 Partnership, a new organization founded by local businessmen interested in current and future infrastructure issues affecting the Texas 288 corridor.
Former Pearland City Councilmember Kevin Cole serves as Chairman of the Board, and Pearland City Councilmember Woody Owens is Vice Chairman Co-founded. Gaylynn Naiser is the Executive Director.
"With so many interests served by Texas 288 we believe everyone affected by future development should have a voice in shaping its expansion and development. We welcome the opportunity to work with TXDOT, Houston, Harris County, Brazoria County, and everyone who uses this thoroughfare. We’re honored to have Texas Medical Center and METRO among our members and welcome their participation," said Cole.
The Greater 288 Partnership currently has 40 members. Committees include regional transportation planning, legislative advocacy, parks, open space & connectivity, and partners development/marketing/programs. For more information visit www.greater288.org.
