P.K. Loeffler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is experienced in counseling adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She uses a multifaceted, versatile approach and clients appreciate her gentle sensitive humor. Through individual, couple or family sessions, P.K. assists clients with life’s dilemmas, transitions, and changes. Processing feelings, developing support systems and relationships, and strengthening communication skills can enable clients to manage the stress and anxiety that moving to a new community, divorce, loss of a loved one, or other difficulties which life can sometimes bring.

As a certified critical incident stress management facilitator, P.K. Loeffler also assists major corporations when traumas occur in the workplace.  Corporate clients include Shell Oil Company, Internal Revenue Service, Bank of America, Bank One, and Nabisco.  For more than 17 years, corporations have utilized her services to help them cope with complex human resource issues and aid their employees.  Her compassionate care has eased the way for many when they have been faced with difficult and trying situations at work.

She conducts seminars dealing with a variety of topics such as caring for aging parents, communication skills, loss and grief, parenting, and stress management. Whether an individual or family, employee or employer, her clients can be assured of the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality as they work with P.K. in a counseling or life coaching situation.   

Before establishing her private practice 17 years ago, P. K. was on staff at the University of Texas Mental Science Institute which is the Medical School Outpatient Department of Psychiatry Houston Health Science Center.  She provided services in the Family Clinic and was a member of the training staff for Psychiatry Interns.
