Welcome to Second Baptist School! Being a part of SBS is being a part of a community-a community of faith, a school community, a neighborhood community, and a community of relationships that last forever.


Widely recognized as a strong Christian collegiate community, Second Baptist School, established in 1946, is an accredited college-preparatory institution (PK - 12) providing spiritual, academic, social, and physical instruction based on sound educational and biblical principles in a disciplined environment. Today, SBS serves approximately 1,000 students and enjoys the use of nearly 1,000,000 square feet of educational and recreational facilities on a 42 acre, Memorial area campus.


Second Baptist School's legacy as a nationally recognized Christian college preparatory institution is a tribute to how God has miraculously transformed SBS over the decades into A SCHOOL FOR LEADERS in the city of Houston and throughout the United States. SBS celebrates the achievements of the past, contemplates the present successes and challenges, and gives focus to our future plans. A School for Leaders - values, service, learning, and community - exemplifies the spirit of the SBS experience and the legacy forged by students, faculty, parents, and alumni.
