The Energy Corridor District was created in 2001 to promote the area along I-10 between Beltway 8 and the Grand Parkway as a prime business location. The district’s purpose is to unite the businesses in the Energy Corridor, to promote the area’s unique assets, and attract new businesses and families to the area by addressing issues such as transportation, public safety, and quality of life. Their vision also promotes a sense of place and calls attention to the area’s many attributes. The results have been very successful with multi-national and local growth-oriented energy companies such as BP America, Shell, ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips locating there along with companies such as Foster Wheeler, Worley Parsons and J. Ray McDermott.
Over 14 million square feet of quality office space is located in park-like settings within walking distance of high-end residential neighborhoods and luxury apartments. The area is bordered by the largest urban park outside of the National Park System with more than 26,000-acres in the George Bush, Cullen and Bear Creek Parks. The Energy Corridor is a well-planned, high-quality community, integrating regional and metropolitan commercial development, and continually strives to improve the area. For more information, contact
