The Brazoria County Historical Museum exists to discover, preserve, and make known the history of Brazoria County. Located in Brazoria County's historic 1897 courthouse, the Museum collects, preserves and exhibits artifacts that relate the history of Brazoria County. The museum is located at 100 E. A 60-foot replica of Stephen F. Austin, the father of Texas, stands on a 12- foot base in the ten-acre, Henry William Munson Park located on Texas 288 just south of Stephen F. Austin Highway (Hwy. 35) in Angleton. www.stephenfaustin.org.

Angleton is close to five area Plantations: Varner Hogg Plantation, the Abner Jackson Plantation, , Levi Jordan Plantation, and Peach Point WMA. Peach Point is located within a league of land deeded to Stephen F. Austin by the Mexican government in 1830, once known as Peach Point Plantation. Manna Fields Farm is a family-owned agri-entertainment and educational resource farm.
