RCS Office of Development: Overview

Rosehill Christian School provides excellence in Christ-centered education as an extension of the Christian home.

Preschool Overview

At RCS, we believe our role is to support, cooperate and assist parents in fulfilling their God-given responsibility to bring their children up in the "training and instruction of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4). Our teachers are selected for their ability to relate to your child in a warm, supportive manner while they work to accommodate the various levels of spiritual and academic progress. Each teacher is a born-again Christian and delights in sharing the love of Christ with her children. Your child's sense of self-worth is enhanced as he learns that God has designed him as a fantastic one of a kind! We learn together how to respect and enjoy each other's differences and to play with a spirit of sharing.

Elementary Overview

Lower School, kindergarten through fifth grade, is designed to unite Rosehill Christian School's vision and goals with enrichment curriculums immersed in the rigor of particular academic disciplines. We utilize a variety of curriculum to maximize the intellectual, spiritual and academic achievement and development of each student.

Lower School is committed to challenging and equipping students to be like Christ, to the glory of God alone, by growing, obeying, communicating effectively, and diligently working at their studies to be effective life-long learners.  All of this is accomplished in a Christ-centered environment through a committed, God-loving faculty and staff.

Lower School strives to nurture the whole child by providing core disciplines and a variety of extracurricular subjects.  Students at Rosehill Christian School will benefit from committed teachers mentoring them in the way that they should go.  In conjunction with students' families and churches, RCS will encourage students to cherish learning that is grounded in Scripture and reflects the sovereignty of God.

Overview: Middle School

RCS Middle School encompasses grades 6 - 8. Middle school students are on a modified daily schedule which allows more time for instruction in the core subject areas. Required subjects are englishlanguage arts, math, science, social studies and Bible. Students also have the opportunity to participate in athletics, art, choir, and drama.

High School Overview

 Rigor, Relevance, Relationships

The 3 words listed above provide the focus for an outstanding academic preparation for our students. Rigor is the tone of the expectations that we have for our students as we prepare them for college. It is not making things hard. It is challenging students to think and to be able to articulate their ideas after having thought about the full impact of their response.

Relevance relates to preparing students not only for the academic world that they will enter in college but it also relates to preparing them for life in Christ that His disciples are called to.

Relationships has to do with the student and teacher, students to other students, students to parents and students to the world around them. The command of Jesus to love God and to love others is important to the development of our High School students.

This focus is manifested in the curriculum requirements for RCS students. RCS operates on a block schedule for the high school, which provides greater flexibility in scheduling and provides a wider variety of course offerings for students.

Rosehill Christian School offers two types of diplomas...Academic and Honors. The difference between the two diplomas is that the Honors Diploma requires one more credit each of advanced math and advanced science. The requirements for each are listed on the "Academics" page.
