Lone Star College-Tomball Future Teacher Club Wins
Top Award!
The Lone Star College-Tomball chapter of the Association
of Texas Professional Educators-ATPE which is part of the
Future Teacher Club has been selected as “Local Unit of the
Year” at the Leadership U Conference held recently in Austin.
The selection was based on various accomplishments during
the 2007-08 academic year including local unit management,
membership growth, member services, services to the school
and community, and political involvement. The LSC-Tomball
club doubled its membership from the prior year and also
brought the largest college group (25 members) in more than
30 years to the annual conference in March 2008.
Football Picks
Are you ready for some football? The Potpourri will have a
section each week for ten weeks that will feature Magnolia and
Tomball area citizens making football picks from Sports Editor
Dustin Bass. Keep your eyes out for that feature as we look
forward to high school football from the three area high
schools.
