          The Orchard Economic Development Corporation was formed in May 2004 and focuses on the well-being of the community. Currently, the EDC operates on a one-half cent sales tax to fund its activities. Educating companies about the advantages of relocating to the small town and improving the city’s capability to attract new business are cornerstones of the Orchard EDC.  The future of the City of Orchard is closely tied to the growth of the business sector.
