The KAEDC mission statement is “To establish the Katy area as the premier location for families and businesses through planned economic growth.”
The Katy Area Economic Development Council (KAEDC) is a collaborative effort of business and community leaders, working with civic, and educational organizations which have a vested interest in the future of the region. KAEDC activities are based upon the realization that the Katy Area is on the cusp of phenomenal opportunities, and major stakeholders in the community wish to ensure that quality development is encouraged and enhanced throughout the unique tri-county governmental structure, which include portions of Waller, Fort Bend and Harris Counties.
The ruling Board of Governors is comprised of twenty-two experienced CEO’s and senior officials from organizations such as Center Point Energy, Tristar Holdings, Vista Equities Group, Woodcreek Reserve Development Co., Fort Bend County, Katy ISD, City of Katy, Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, Memorial Herman Hospital System, and CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital, to mention just a few.
The organization is driven by a common community vision of quality business growth and development, preservation and enhancement of the environment, and a commitment to quality education and family life.
