            On October 1, 2007, a one-cent sales tax was implemented as a result of Fulshear residents’ overwhelming approval of the initiative to create an Economic Development Corporation.  Fulshear’s population of 716 residents will experience a housing boom over the next five years due to the 14,841 homes planned for the immediate area.  The City of Fulshear is in the process of finalizing the Fulshear Economic Development Corporation, which will enable the citizens to have a voice - and voice their priorities - in the expenditures of funds for beautification, infrastructure, drainage, lighting, and other needed capital improvements.

            Growth combined with heritage, the down home, friendly feel integrated with today’s technology are the Fulshear EDC’s vision for residents today and tomorrow.
